Overview
A warehouse engineer is a professional who supports designing, developing, and implementing warehouse systems and processes. They work with warehouse managers and other stakeholders to understand operations and technology to design and implement that meet those needs.
Responsibilities
- Support design and implement warehouse solutions - Manage the project lifecycle - Participate in selection and implementation of hardware and software - Maintain and improve warehouse solutions - Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements - Ensure that solutions are cost-effective and scalable - Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in warehouse technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, or a related field - 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics - Strong understanding of warehouse technology - Experience with warehouse software and systems ie WMS / WES / WCS - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to travel as needed
